David Potter Releases “Miseducation of MMA Volume 2”

March 6, 2025 — New York, NY — In a bold and unprecedented fusion of satire, soul, and fight culture, respected combat sports personality David Potter has released Miseducation of MMA Volume 2, now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, and all major platforms.

Hailed by early critics as “the best music album ever released by a combat sports figure,” the project is not just an album — it’s a statement. A fearless, genre-defying body of work, Miseducation of MMA Volume 2 blurs the lines between musical brilliance and biting social commentary, parody and truth, humor and heartbreak.

“Is it music disguised as MMA education? Comedy disguised as cynicism? Or both?” — Fight Book MMA
“Either way, David Potter has created something totally original — raw, rebellious, and surprisingly real.”

What the Industry Is Saying:

  • “David’s always brought an edgy brand of comedy to MMA. He doesn’t miss with this one — a historic and hilarious telling of the sport’s history.”
    — Donagh Corby, Happy Punch / Full Send Podcast

  • “A fever dream narrated by a fighter who’s seen it all—part satire, part tribute, and wholly unpredictable.”
    — BKFC’s Vito Thomaselli

  • “What can’t this man do?”
    — Josh Hull, CEO of Bad Company

  • “This album hits harder than Tito Ortiz’s last brain cell trying to make itself heard… the only person in the industry capable of both crossing the line and raising the bar in one fell swoop.”
    — Allie Marie, MMA Reporter

  • “I’m pissed at myself for liking it.”
    — MMAholes

Following the underground success of Volume 1, this sophomore effort expands the universe with sharper production, deeper emotional range, and harder-hitting satire. Tracks like:

  • “Dear Black People”

  • “Musk vs. Zuckerberg”

  • “Joe Rogan Sauce”

…tackle the absurdity, beauty, contradictions, and fandom of the fight world with unmatched lyrical wit, shocking moments, and surprising depth.

Potter on the Album:

“I didn’t want to make something safe,” says Potter.
“This album is everything I wish someone told me when I got into this game — brutally honest, sometimes funny, sometimes painful, always real. Volume 1 was clean and controlled — this time I wanted people to hear the flaws, the imperfections, the cracks in the image.”

“I was typecast as the funny guy, the clown, paid to make noise without substance. This project was a way to sneak in a well-hidden f**k you — while leaving the interpretation wide open. Maybe it’s a comedy album. Maybe it’s a cynical roast. Or maybe it’s just real.”

David Potter’s Miseducation of MMA Volume 2 cements his role not just as a commentator, but as an artist — an insider-turned-outsider unafraid to challenge norms through creativity and raw authenticity.

Man… I saw Dave Potter and The Schmo walking the arena and I swear, the whole vibe shifted. Potter got that it factor for real. Dude walks in and people just gravitate toward him. He was dapping people up, cracking jokes, taking pics, actually having full convos with fans and staff—no Hollywood attitude, just real energy. And The Schmo was the same way. Super cool dude. His girl too i forgot her name but she was mad sweet. They weren’t rushing, just genuinely taking time with everyone. You can tell they appreciate the people around them. Potter’s one of those guys you can’t help but root for. Straight up real one.
